Take a Private, Online Class with Lindsay from wherever you are!
All classes will resume in May.
How It Works:
Private & Live: Face-to-face over Skype or FaceTime, these classes are private, scheduled for when you prefer. This way you can get the most out of the class, have all of your questions answered and we can focus on what’s important to you.
A True Educational Experience: I always say, “I’m a teacher first, soap maker second.” So, we will cover all of the information (chemistry, recipe building & customization, safety info, materials/ingredients needed, optional additives, recommended suppliers, etc.). My classes are true educational experiences, not just arts & crafts. You’ll learn why you are doing something, not just how to do something. We will start with the chemistry & recipe formulation, using a very detailed online calculator (for soap making). Learning how to design & perfect your own recipes is often the hardest part of making natural products like soap, so I focus a good deal of time in each class on recipe building; you will not find this in most other classes.
Thorough Handouts & Recipes: After purchasing the class, all of the detailed informational handouts & recipes that we use in the classes will be emailed to you for use during the class.
Making the Products: Then, I will walk you through making the products (you must purchase all supplies ahead of time; lists are provided to help you) OR I will demonstrate how to make the products, while you watch, take notes and ask any questions along the way (then you can purchase supplies afterwards). You can choose which option you prefer.
Reference Videos: After class, I will email you links to my private videos of me making the products for you to refer back to, so that you have additional help at home for when you are ready to make them yourself. You can watch the videos as much as you want & even follow along as you are making the products at home. I will also email many helpful links after class, depending on your needs (e.g. FDA labeling requirements for a business).
After-Class Questions: You can feel free to contact me with any questions whenever they come up, even months later. I am always happy to help :)
